Canadian Fighter Pilots Association (CFPA)

The Canadian Fighter Pilots Association WW-II and Korea have had this stunning monument created to honour those 117 Canadian Fighter Pilots who fought in the Battla of Britain. It is constructed of a gray granite base inscribed "Presented by The Canadian Fighter Pilots Association".
The polished black granite column is 16 inches square and 36 inches tall inscribed on three sides with all 117 names of those pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain. Mounted on top is a bronze bust of Winston Churchill, created by sculptor Peter Richardson of Stafford England.
It is located in the airpark at the RCAF Memorial Museum at Trenton Ontario. It was dedicated in July, 2007 and to commemorate this momentous occasion there was a flight of two Spitfires and a Hurricane in the missing man formation over the ceremony.

A smaller bust of Churchill was presented to John Clark at the ceremony. It is inscribed:
"PRESENTED TO JOHN E. CLARK FOR HIS DEDICATION AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS PROJECT DIRECTOR AND NEWSLETTER EDITOR TO THE CANADIAN FIGHTER PILOTS ASSOCIATION BY LT. COL. TOM R. WHELER PRESIDENT CFPA JULY 21 2007
Update: June, 2010:
John;
Once again I have read the final news letter and find it very difficult to believe that our once very vibrant organization (Canadian Fighter Pilots Association WW-2) has been grounded. John I want to again express my appreciation for all that you have done for the association. You have been a real kingpin in providing the much needed support.
So John I wish you all the best and good health and happiness!

Bill Greig's John Clark Flintlock Bench Rest Target Rifle

"Just to let you know that No. 116 John Clark Flintlock Bench Rest Target Rifle looks like a million bucks. I bought a special bore light brass capsule that slides down to the breech, and happy to report that the bore shines like a......somebody's heel! Beautiful tiger maple.... I remember first getting the rifle, and thinking that I wanted a mellow gold stain. But seeing the old nitric acid stain in its reddish tinge looks absolutely stunning. My hat is off to you, and the skill that you have.
